An Avant Garde Endeavor: Maison Martin Margiela for H&M

As the now diligently hyped Black Friday looms near – one store you might want to add to your list of places to hit is H&M to check out their latest collaboration project with the notoriously fashion forward brand Maison Martin Margiela.

The Paris based Belgian fashion house is best known for their envelope pushing conceptual designs and their 104-piece H&M capsule collection was no exception.

The designs reference the most iconic pieces from the archives of Margiela and embody all the key characteristics of the brand with its deconstructionist aesthetics and voluminous structural play on scale in muted tones.

Debuting to quiet fanfare on November 15, the collection has yet to sell out. So you need not resort to scouring Ebay to score your own piece – simply swing by one of the listed stores carrying the capsule collection.
