http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/household/cellphones.asp (Classification) click link to explain all mentioned below

For all the folks with cell phones. (This should be printed and kept in your car, purse, and wallet. Good information to have with you.)

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave
emergencies.

Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency
tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST
Emergency

The Emergency Number wo rldwide for Mobile is 112. If you find
Yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an
Emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to
Establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly, this number 112
can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Try it out.

SECOND
Have you locked your keys in the car?

Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy
someday . Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys
In the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on
their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot
From your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock
button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will
unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no
object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has
the other ‘remote’ for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

Editor’s Note < B>: It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked
Our car over a cell phone!’

THIRD
Hidden Battery Power

Imagine your cell battery is very low. To activate, press the
keys *3370#. Your cell phone will restart with this reserve and the instrument
will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell phone next time.

FOURTH
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone’s serial number, key in the following
Digits on your ph one: *#06#. A 15-digit code will appear on the
screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it
somewhere safe.

When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider
and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset
so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally
useless. You probably won’t get your phone back, but at least you know
that whoever stole it can’t use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there
would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
And Finally….

FIFTH
Free Directory Service for Cells

Cell phone companies are charging us $1.00 to $1.75 or more for
411 information calls when they don’t have to. Most of us do not
carry a telephone directory in our vehicle , which makes this situation
even more of a problem. When you need to use the 411 information
O ption, simply dial: (800)FREE411, or (800) 373-3411 without incurring any charge at all. Program this into your cell phone now.

11am

Starts off harmless enough

11:30

I meet Ensenada’s version of Kaba Modern and Jabawockees. The guys were awesome. They really put on a dope show right on the side walk next to our table.

1pm

I continue to take in the culture and hang with the local street entertainers!! Cant beat live music in Mexico. I tried to get them to play the Bobby Light song but they didn’t know it.

2pm

Now this where things get a little out of control. We visit the local vendors and gear ourselves up with Mexican Wrestling mask

Group Shot - Team Sea Dizzle Dazzle

The Tag Team Duo of S & M

Wrestling Honky Tonk Diva ready for action

After Mask is on and guitar in hand, she’s ready to Guitar Hero someones ass!

3pm

By this time, I don’t even know whats going on any more. My mask is ready to come off and I have a hammock hanging from my neck. And yes, ppl did try to sit on it.

not that I can’t see the humor in the logos posted in the last blog entry but ummm… I would like to say that I did not post those logos. due to some fluke in our bloga-ma-bob service - the entry was attributed to me but I’m afraid I just cannot take credit for them… it was one of our other clever glam promoters… ahem… *cough cough johnny*

*grin* well. that’s my educated guess.

I do love love a good logo though, so whilst we are on the subject.. I’ll share a little:

So recently I am most infatuated with the Kumon logo - it makes me laugh every time because it so aptly describes what face your kid would give you if you said, kid… we’re going to kumon *grin*

kumon

LOVE IT.

With all due respect it was pointed out to me, by an ex - who happened to share my keen interest in graphics. He has a good eye - if a very very picky one. *grin*

But that is current heavy contender.

Next we have the running elephant of Anawalt - granted this web version of it, is not the one we used to drive by on a weekly basis on the way home from Hollywood (on Highlands)… but you can see the gist of it:

anawalt

The elephant is fantastic. Okay.. and the name of the company is also SO much fun to say! Try it - do it with a slight “Westsiiide” inflection.. *grin*

See?

K, moving on..
So in a 2-D class discussion we were talking about logo updates and the professor mentioned that he really liked the update to the UPS logo - touted it as one of the best updates in the past couple of years. So of course it prompted me to look up the old logo.. and ha ha I like the old logo a lot better than the current shield update *grin*

upsSee? I like the parcel. It’s charming.

And.. actually when I was thinking this afternoon because I know there are lot more logos I like but I just haven’t thought about it recently so… I was honestly drawing a blank for a bit after the kumon one..
- and I remembered I used to really be taken by the napster logo.. but I looked it up and I have to say I think the love has faded… did it always have a nose and mouth?? because I remember thinking at one point that it was really sharp… hm…

napster *grin* old loves. sometimes they seem so much better when clouded by nostalgia.

Anyways, done and done. For now.

- and I have a question for you… why aren’t you at MOOD??!! Because I’d be there in a heartbeat but I’m on lockdown tonite *grin*

Party til the sun comes up. Welcome to the House of GLAM. :: www.thehouseofglam.com baby!
